We begin with a white canvas...

Acrylic Paint...

Foam Paint Rollers...

Layer 1.......Rolling on the Paint

Layer 2.....Stamping with found objects

Layer 4......Black and White 

paints and markers

We painted 6 canvas today!

We will cut up the canvas into thirds,

each member will choose 

3 different sections.

We will sew the canvas into projects!

Comfort Quilts...

It must be the first Monday of the month...

We are creating comfort quilts today!

We are making comfort quilts from

 donated fabrics

for members of our community...

Rachelle is pressing a 

disappearing patch quilt top...

Ralph, the Quilting Kitty

keeps our fabrics warmed up for us!

We are also creating another 

raw edge heart quilt...

The blocks are done,

we are now piecing them into rows...

The first disappearing 9 patch 

quilt top is complete...

The quilters are tying it...

Tools of the Trade

Linda continues piecing the heart blocks...

She has the inner and outer 

borders pieced...

It is amazing what you can put together

with donated fabrics...

Next month we will machine quilt

this heart baby quilt...

disappearing 9 patch quilt...

The quilters are hard at work

We are all trying to finish up our projects

before we break for the summer...

Betty is working on a raw edge heart quilt

Linda is piecing her pancake quilt

Kathi is machine quilting her star quilt

Lani is nearly done with her pancake quilt

Kathi's star blocks were won at a quilt retreat in 2007

Instead of making a fabric wrapped 

basket, I am making a rug!

Fabric strips wrapped around 

3/16 cotton clothesline rope

The rug finished at 39 inches diameter

Ralph is very interested in 

free motion quilting...

He likes to get up close and personal 

with the sewing machine

Quilting tires him out and 

he needs to take a nap

When he get sleepy he doesn't have far to

 go to cuddle up with a quilt

Ralph is the official Quilt Palace Kitty

He loves to quilt on Mondays!
