Painting the Palace...

The Quilt Palace is getting a...

Face Lift

This is what the main work room looked like when

we moved into the Palace 2 years ago...

Big work area......but dark walls

This is my corner...

you can really see just how dark the walls are.

After 2 years of sewing in the dark...

it is time to brighten things up!

The paint is so dark that we need to prime the walls first...

My two trusty helpers.

Gunnr and my favorite guy

While they start rolling on the paint...

I removed all of the design walls....ugh.

My corner of the room....

Half way around the room...

The other half of the room...

Gunnr has had it with all of the painting!

The painting has come full circle...

Back to where we started painting the first wall.

Even the hallway gets a fresh coat of primer.

Look closely.....Gunnr is changing colors.

I think Gunnr got into his painting just a bit too much!

Here's a quick peek at the primed room:

We are heading into town to fetch paint samples...

Gunnr is thinking......light green paint.
